What is Vedic Maths?
Vedic Maths is a set of mental calculation techniques based on 16 sutras (short formulas). Instead of long, step-by-step working, students learn patterns that let them multiply, divide, square and check answers in a line or two, often entirely in their head.
Because the methods are flexible, students learn to look at a sum and choose the fastest way to solve it.
What students learn
- Fast multiplication, including large numbers
- Quick division
- Squares, cubes and square roots
- Shortcuts for fast algebra and arithmetic
- Simple ways to check answers and avoid silly mistakes
Who it is for
Vedic Maths suits school students who want to get faster and more accurate in maths, and older students preparing for competitive exams where speed matters.
