Abacus Classes in Vasai East

The abacus is a simple bead frame that makes numbers visible and touchable. Children first learn to add, subtract, multiply and divide by moving beads with their fingers. As they practise, they start to picture the abacus in their mind and calculate without it. This mental calculation is what makes abacus-trained children so quick with numbers.

At Sarthak Academy we have taught abacus in Vasai East since 2011, and more than 1800 children have trained with us.

Each level builds on the one before, and children move up after a certified assessment:

• Early levels — number sense, bead values, and addition and subtraction on the abacus.
• Middle levels — bigger numbers, multiplication and division, and the first steps of visualisation.
• Advanced levels — mental arithmetic on multi-digit numbers, speed drills and competition practice.

• Faster, more accurate calculation in school maths
• Better concentration and listening
• Stronger memory and visualisation
• Confidence with numbers instead of fear of maths

Every year our students take part in the Sarthak Academy abacus competition. Winners in each level receive prizes and every participant is recognised. Check the 2026 competition results.
